week 4: images for submission

With the concept “creating the negative spaces through shadows”,  the station  act as a shelter place which form the shadows. These shadows forms the negative spaces which can reinforce the organic forms of the station and give this light rail station a unique appearance.

The green roofs in my light rail station which can insulate the heat and can attract the animals to maintain the ecological balance. The double roof in the right part of my railway station is good for ventilation. This addresses the issue of sustainability.

My second concept is maintaining the spatial continuity, so there are open and continual spaces between the light rail station and the surrounding environment. The surrounding landscape and the station have similar forms, which reinforces this concept.

I used the medium texture in the walkway to another side of the road, and I used the dark and light textures in the columns. So it can be an interesting experience when people are walking through the overpass, or when they are sitting in the chair adjacent to the columns.
